  About us
123outsource.com was started in 2008 by Jeremy Belmont. Jeremy is a regular visitor to India to practice meditation, and to get help with his internet sites. Jeremy owned five websites as of 2008 and wanted to create a few more to diversify his business for the future. He found that India was the place to develop his web business in the most efficient way.

Starting Out
123outsource.net is just starting out as a sparcely populated database. However, over time, we will be getting many more companies to sign up with a choice between free listings and paid listings. A company can choose to purchase a fixed placement in the search results for a particular profession and country. Our research shows that companies who rank closer to the top of the search results get a higher quantity of responses to their listing. As time goes on we will be expanding the professions on our database as the need arises. For now, we are going to limit the choice of professions to those that we think will populate quickly in the database. To start off we will be focusing on companies that provide web / internet programming and design, as well as BPO's and call centers. Our directory will be focusing on India because we found that India was the best country for outsourcing a wide variety back office and programming work. However, Argentina has the highest number of great web designers on our site, and the Philippines has some of the best call centers and medical transciption companies. So, you will find that on our site, Argentina, India, and the Philippines have the most search results of any of the countries represented on our site.

Programmers
We work with programmers in the United states, and in India. Great programmers are available in the United States, however, it is much faster and less expensive to get work done in India The quality of programmers in India seems to be quite good, although communication is often more difficult. Another factor in play is that India companies will often be overstaffed, which means that you don't have to wait as long to get work done. In America, overtime and benefits are so costly, that companies might only be able to give you minimal time and might keep you waiting for weeks just to do some simple work.

Visiting India
Jeremy enjoys the lifestyle of visiting India regularly and finds it very cost effective. He goes to India once or twice a year to supervise programming and finds that work gets done much more smoothly and quickly when he is there. Two star hotels are reasonably priced and restaurant food ranges from 10-60% of what it would cost for its equivalent in the United States. Vegetarian food is very cheap in India, while fancy dishes and local wines are roughly 60% as expensive as they would be in a Western country. Jeremy has found that visiting India can broaden your horizens, outlook, and skill sets, as well as helping you to make new personal and business relationships that are very rewarding. Additionally, Jeremy enjoys visiting tourist areas and spiritual venues all over India when he is there.

Reverse Outsourcing
We feel that the world will be a better place if developing countries practice what we call "Reverse Outsourcing". Hiring consultants from America or other highly developed countries can help businesses become much more efficient and effective. We have found that the outsourcing companies that are the most successful follow a business model of having at least one office in a Western country and one or more branches in a developing country. This business model capitalizes on the experienced management expertise of the West and the highly skilled and low cost labor of the developing world. We find that larger businesses such as medical transcription companies and larger programming outfits regularly use this business model, while smaller programming and web design companies rarely follow this business model. We hope that the consultants we are listing on our directory will be helpful and will revolutionize the way business is done in the developing world.
